Further contemplation on illness trauma

After note: the below personal experience is a diary of my personal reflexivity, it does not represent "Evidence-based" scientific account or resource for point of reference medically, neither from my friend nor the references cited...

As i am still very concerned with the question of 'how to deal with illness trauma' such as an experience of diagnosis of cancer? I felt itch in my heart for days every time i heard of someone known or unknown is challenging with this human cells changes & growth uncontrolled within...uncertainty is not easy to cope...much less i like to ask a psychologist to clear this philosophical thought (may be unless is FOC - it may not be appreciated either) ...

In retrospective, my conversations Q & A with a very kind, intelligent good friend who did personal research on cancer diseases of conventional medicines & alternative medicines, Dr Martin Dunn (a scientist) way back in 1995 - at that time i "perceived" he was of the opinion that the human physical body has its natural immunity, the question is how are we going to boost our immunity within (or regain our natural immunity system?)? Far back, he recommended Holistic Medicine, and also he recommended to read this book (reviewed at Amazon.com as "best selling ground breaking classic", viewed March 5, 2011) :

Anatomy of an illness as perceived by the patient /Norman Cousins, Bantam, 1991.

I read then that year, and was very inspired by the author's innovative courage to 'walked' the healing path, thus the author's name stay in my mind till today...
May all 'sensitive groups' walked the journey of recovery more innovative than this humorous man and inspired others just like him in their individual way...
